Academic seminar– Academician Kang Chong October 13,2022 Invited by the School of Life Sciences at Lanzhou University, Dr. Kang Chong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Research Fellow of the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited Lanzhou University for academic communications. Title: Mechanisms of Seasonal Perception by Plants Time: May 6, 2018, from 15:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m. Place: Report Hall of College Student Activity Center Introduction to Academician Kang Chong: Kang Chong is Research Fellow of Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Doctoral Tutor of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees from Lanzhou University in 1984, 1988 and 1993, respectively. From 1993 to 1997, he had his postdoctoral training at Lanzhou University, Institute of Botany and Northeast University of Japan. From 1984 to 1995, he was assistant professor and lecturer of Lanzhou University. From 1998 to 2000, he was a senior visiting scholar in the Department of Biology, Purdue University and Dow Agrosciences LLC. In 2017, he was elected as academician member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Director of the Institute of Botany, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Botanical Society, and Director of the Chinese Society of Plant Physiology He has published more than 60 papers in SCI journals such as Cell, EMBO Journal, Plant Cell, PNAS, Nature Communications, PLoS Genetics and Genome Biology.
